TLC Shampoo Instructions

How to Use TLC Shampoo

Directions for Application:

Apply lice shampoo generously to DRY hair, thoroughly saturating hair with TLC from scalp to tip of hair.

On average, if you have shoulder length medium thick hair you can get 3 to 4 uses out of one bottle. Keep in mind you will need 5 uses.

As you apply the shampoo no lather will occur. You are just coating the hair.

Leave shampoo on hair for a minimum of 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, add water and work into a lather. Rinse shampoo out of hair and apply conditioner or detangler to ease combing. Use lice comb to remove nits after each treatment.

Recommended Use:Lice shampoo recommended use

Shampoo must remain on hair for a minimum of 30 minutes for maximum effectiveness.

Family members with visible evidence of lice: must use TLC 5 times over a 7 day period, Days 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7.

Family and friends exposed to lice, but with no visible evidence: must apply TLC on Days 1 and 7.

How To Remove Nits:

First, treat hair with TLC Shampoo!

To begin combing out the nits, you will need a location in your home with good light, daylight is the best source but not direct sunlight.

Start the comb out on the back of the head at the nape of the neck and work your way up.

Use the included comb to make a quarter inch part across the nape of the neck, clip remaining hair on top of the head.

Spritz the parted off section with water or diluted detangler. Pull the comb through this section repeatedly until no nits are found.

Add another quarter inch section, spritz again and comb new section adding to previous section.

The more hair in the comb gives the comb traction to pull the nit off the hair shaft. Repeat these steps until you have done the entire head. This routine needs to be done after each shampoo treatment.
